Academic Teams

Academic Decathlon Team

Juniors and seniors study material in seven subjects and compete by taking tests in these subjects as well as by doing a speech, interview, and essay. This club meets two afternoons a week.

Math Team

Mr. Noeth - Mathematics

The Math Team participates monthly in the Massachusetts Mathematics League competitions. Open to students in geometry and beyond. Competitions are on Thursday afternoons.

Envirothon

Mr. Dempsey - Science

This team works during the year to prepare for a state competition on an environmental topic. Students will also study material from different environmental topics (such as aquatics, wild life, agriculture, forestry, etc.) and compete by taking tests.

Science Team

Mr. Dempsey - Science

The Science Team competes in monthly meets and in the spring State Science Olympiad. Meetings and meets are on weekday afternoons.

Speech & Debate Team

Mr. Wirzburger - World Language

Students compete in tournaments in any of eighteen events. Meetings are on Monday and Friday; meets are usually on Saturdays.
