The APS Preschool Handbook is your primary reference guide. Topics range from our Mission Statement to Health Policies to Family Participation. The handbook covers the APS Preschool PTO, Contacting the Classrooms, CORI Check for Volunteers, Curriculum, Extra Clothes, Field Trip Policies, No School Announcements, Parent Communication, Progress Reports, Required Documentation, Registration, Safety Drills, Schedule, Snack, Staff, Staff Assignments, Student Directory, Summer Services, Transportation, Tuition, Visiting and Volunteering.
The classes follow the Acton Public Schools Calendar. Each class meets four days a week, Monday through Thursday. The exact hours of operation may vary year to year.
Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale and paid over 10 months. For the 2011-2012 school year, the monthly rates are as follows:
When the Acton Public Schools close due to snow or poor weather, the Preschool will close. If there is a delayed opening, the morning sessions will not meet, but the afternoon and all day sessions will meet beginning at 12:30. If school is canceled during the school day, the afternoon sessions will be cancelled. The school staff or room parents will contact parents/guardians if this occurs. School closings and delays are broadcast on WBZ 1030AM.
From 495 North or South: Take Exit 29a to Route 2 East. Take Exit 42 onto Route 27. Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Main Street. At first stoplight, turn right onto Route 111. Take the first right onto Charter Road. The 4th driveway on the right is the APS Preschool, which is in the Administration Building. |

Registration for September 2012 begins in January 2012. Openings may be available throughout the school year. For more information, contact the Early Childhood Coordination, Carol Huebner.
