Idiosyncrasy

Idiosyncrasy is a magazine with a focus on diverse cultures. Its goal is to clear up cultural misunderstandings and to provide A-B students with an enjoyable source of information on cultures other than their own. For members, it provides an opportunity to meet other students, to learn and relax.



The Spectrum

Meets after school as announced in 136S.
The Spectrum is Acton-Boxborough’s student newspaper, which includes articles and photography of interest to the ABRHS community. Staff members and editors work in a variety of capacities, including writing, photography, layout, copy editing and advertisement sales, and work on every aspect of production until each issue is printed. The Spectrum publishes six issues/year. Anyone is welcome to contribute to the paper, but contributors must be reliable, responsible and committed. The Torch

Ms. Cileno - Librarian

Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 in the Graphics Lab.
The yearbook staff plans and executes the school’s annual yearbook, a publication representing the schools year in review. Students have the opportunity to design pages, take photographs and write based on the events and stories to be told about the school. Students work to meet publisher deadlines and coordinate efforts to raise funds to publish the yearbook Open to students in all four grades.

Window Seat: Literary Magazine and Creative Writing Club

Mrs. Anthony - English

Meets Thursdays at 2:30 in room 202E.
Each year students in the club produce and publish two to three issues of a collection of student art and writing, including short stories , song lyrics, essays, translations and poems. All layout, printing and assembling for the magazine is done by students. Students interested in creative writing meet each week to write from prompts and to critique peers’ writing to submit to the magazine. The magazine accepts for publication art, poetry, and short stories. Members also work in collaboration with the Robert Creeley Foundation to host the annual Robert Creeley Poetry Reading and to audition students to be opening readers at the annual Robert Creeley Foundation Poetry Reading in Acton.
