We make every attempt to hold the graduation exercises on the scheduled date. If the weather is not suitable, our first alternative, if the weather is predicted to clear, is to delay the start of the ceremony. Only if that is not possible do we use our rain date plans. If the ceremony cannot be held on Friday, June 6th, the back-up date is Saturday, June 7th, at 5:30 p.m. If it is not possible to hold the outdoor ceremony on either date, the next alternative is Sunday, June 8th, at 3:00 p.m. In any event, seniors are to report for line-up one hour prior to the starting time.
The decision about whether to delay the ceremony is made by the principal and the superintendent of schools. If any delay is contemplated, information will be posted on the home page of the high school web site (ab.mec.edu/abrhs).
Photographs will be taken by a professional photographer who has been engaged specifically for graduation. The photographer will take your graduates' picture as he/she receives their diploma. There is no obligation to purchase this picture. However, if you wish to take advantage of the photo offer from the photographer, you should follow directions in the materials that will be sent to you under separate cover. Please remind your family and friends that we ask that they remain in their seats rather than come to the field to take pictures when diplomas are awarded. For families who need special seating because of disabilities, please contact Mrs. Deb Trentsch at (978) 264-4700, ext. 3403.
