Principal's Letter

March 24, 2008

Dear Parents of Seniors,

In just a little under three months we will be conducting our commencement exercises and your son or daughter will be graduating from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.

We take this opportunity to congratulate parents in advance of this happy occasion and to seek your cooperation relative to behavior expectations.

As you well know, the last few weeks of school are a very exciting, yet dangerous time for seniors. Please counsel your son or daughter to exercise mature and responsible behavior during the last days of school. Students found to be in possession of or under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances will be suspended from school. Any student suspended for this or any other Student Handbook violation will be prohibited from attending or representing the school at extracurricular functions, senior activities and graduation. The administration, faculty and staff at Acton-Boxborough will do everything possible to promote the safety and well-being of your son or daughter.  We appreciate your efforts to join with us to encourage responsible behavior and sound judgments.

Knowing that this is a very exciting time for all of us and that the hectic pace can cause communications to break down, we are providing you with a schedule of upcoming events which was also handed out to all seniors at their most recent class meeting. Information is also available on this website: http://ab.mec.edu/abrhs. Simply go to the quick links and select Seniors where you will find information that will be updated regularly. We hope it will be helpful in your planning.

On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration, I want to thank you for your assistance. I hope to see you all at graduation.

Sincerely,

Stephen Donovan, Principal
