Job Shadowing

Job Shadowing is a one-day (or half-day) visit to a workplace to help students get useful information about careers that interest them. Some visits are done in groups; others are done by one or two students. We have many adults who are willing to share with students information about their jobs and career paths. Participating juniors and seniors (and occasionally sophomores) must do some preparation and follow-up work in addition to the visit. Orientation sessions are held early in the year to explain the program to students and to give them a chance to sign up for job shadowing.
