Located 26 miles northwest of Boston, Acton has transitioned from a farming village to a suburban community. Although Acton's population has almost tripled in the last three decades, the town has retained much of its rural New England flavor including a traditional Town Center and Green with fine examples of historic architecture, stone walls and tree-lined country roads. Among Acton's historical treasures are the Isaac Davis monument on the Town Green, the Faulkner House and IronWork Farm in South Acton and the Hosmer House on Main Street.
