Welcome to the Facilities and Transportation Department section of the website.

This department is responsible for the management and maintenance of all public and regional Buildings and Grounds, as well as the Transportation system for the ABRSD and APS. 

Here you will find any special notices that relate to Buildings, Grounds, or Transportation.  You will also find contact information for the Department Head, J.D. Head.  Please contact J.D. if you have any concerns that you would like to discuss.

As reported in the Lamplighter, we are coming off a very big year and a busy summer preparing our buildings for this coming school year.  We had a very short summer to accomplish our annual summer cleaning, preventative maintenance, and work orders that come up through the course of the year.  In terms of major summer projects, certainly the big news in facilities this summer has been the installation of our new synthetic athletic surface at Leary Field.  Through diligent private fund raising, a Community Preservation Grant, Community Education, and funds left from the High School building project, we were able to install the top of the line synthetic playing surface on the market, Field Turf Pro Series.  This surface is being installed at NFL and NCAA stadiums throughout the country.  We will now have a recreational resource at Leary Field for the schools and the community that will hold up through use 7 days a week 12 hours a day.
