Acton Public Schools Preschool Application

Thank you for your interest in the Acton Public Schools Preschool. Given the number of parents interested in enrolling their children for September 2010 admission for new students will occur through a lottery this year. The lottery will occur on February 10th and parents will be informed immediately of the results. Please submit applications between January 4th and February 5th for inclusion in the lottery. The names of students for whom applications are submitted after February 5th will be added to the waiting list. Applications must include the application fee of $25 (checks to: Acton Boxborough Regional School District). No applications will be accepted prior to January 4th. Visits to the program may be arranged upon request Children living in Acton and neighboring communities may apply.

Located in bright attractive space at the Administration Building, this inviting early childhood program serves children, ages 3 to 5 years old. Children who are developing typically and those with identified special education needs learn side by side. The curriculum is based on developmentally appropriate practices and the MA Early Learning Guidelines encouraging the growth of each child at their individual pace. It is a fun place to play and learn!

Children must be three years old by September 1st to enroll. Three year old students attend school in the morning. Parents of four year old students have a choice of afternoon half day or full day classes. All classes meet four days per week, Monday-Thursday.

Parents are responsible for providing transportation for their children. Tuition is charged on a sliding fee scale. The full tuition rate for the 2010-2011 is expected to be $300/month for half-day and $581/month for full-day. Information about the sliding fee scale is available upon request.
