Glossary

Framework Connections includes activities and lessons

These words are important in the STC unit on Land & Water and relate also to the study of ancient civilizations. Students can keep a learning log of new vocabulary with definitions and illustrations. Word posters or a mini-picture glossary could also be made. As the children find these terms on maps or on their river table models they can be identified and labeled. Other suggestions are listed on the language arts section of the Framework Connections page.
