Welcome to the Wellness Web Site!

Wellness is the promotion of emotional, social, and physical health. The AB Wellness Web site is a resource for parents, guardians and students in all areas of wellness.

This site includes information about counseling, nursing, health, physical education (P/E), and food service as well as links to community groups that expand the network of support for our students and families. Our goals are to provide information about:

    The school system's Wellness departments.
Issues that face our students' development.
Resources in our schools and in the community.

The Wellness Web site also lists monthly events, helpful tips, on-line resources, Web sites and books.

Wellness Coordinator

In the APS and AB Regional School Districts, the Wellness Coordinator shares wellness-related information across all areas of health and participates in many district-wide and school-specific initiatives including the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), workshops and panels, and Project Wellness. In this capacity, the coordinator consults with professionals throughout the system and reports to the superintendent's office. Collaboration with community agencies is also important to provide the resources and information that support the well-being of the students and their families.

The Wellness Coordinator assesses the needs of our students and school community. Through this process, we develop programs and other methods for sharing information and skills that address these needs. Students and families can contact the Wellness Coordinator, Dr. Carolyn Imperato, with questions, concerns, or workshop ideas via email cimperato@mail.ab.mec.edu.

Please feel free to browse the site and familiarize yourself with the resources available in our school system and community and to find information related to wellness. Here's to good health!
